Blue Mind was built in Fano, Italy on the hull of a Silent 62 Tri Deck by Silent-Yachts GmbH. Silent-Yachts builds the only ocean-going production yachts fully powered by solar energy. Blue Mind has the possibility of an unlimited range with zero emissions, surrounded by state-of-the-art design inside and out. The underwater lines were optimized by Computational Fluid Dynamics. Construction is a lightweight bionic design with extensive use of carbon fiber and high-quality resin. From the hull to the interior furnishings, each component was engineered to reduce weight, wave drag, and/or friction. The salon and cabins are wrapped in thermal insulation and all windows are shaded by the roof or hull to maximize energy efficiency. Blue Mind was engineered from the start to be sustainable, not a forced conversion of an existing ICE-powered platform.

Service Name
Energy for Blue Mind is stored in the newest available lightweight, water cooled lithium batteries designed and packaged specifically for marine applications. Blue Mind boasts Silent-Yachts’ third generation powertrain with first-of-its-kind submarine inspired carbon fiber propellers.
There is no maintenance required for the solar panels or batteries. Blue Mind also houses an upgraded “range extender”, an extremely quiet Hyundai diesel generator to recharge the batteries, if necessary.
Service Name
All electrical components are of high industrial quality. Blue Mind’s motors, cables, and inverters are IP69 certified, functional even when permanently submerged in highly pressurized water. All wiring is tin-coated, and all plugs feature a custom design to protect from humidity and water.
Vital components are redundant to ensure double safety and configured to make electric overload impossible. All parts exposed to the marine environment are made from corrosion resistant materials.

Blue Mind includes a long list of further optional equipment, state-of-the-art electronics,
a sophisticated CMCE Sertec™ Marine Electromagnetic Field Protector lightning protection system, and a $100,000 club-level commercial marine audio-visual and security/camera system. Our sound system is compatible with the Sonos app controller.
